Define your need before choosing a brand
For a short session with water available, buying a product is not compulsory. Decide whether you mainly want flavour, electrolytes for a particular situation or energy as well. This selection examines practical formats, not a comparative clinical trial or performance testing by Wodball.
Compare available offers
Offers refer to the displayed pack sizes: compare servings prepared according to instructions, not just box price. Formulations and packaging can change; check the label of the product received.

Hydratis — lemon / elderflower, 20-tablet tube
The effervescent format can be practical without a scoop. The official page lists dextrose, mineral salts and sucralose for this flavour. That does not make it an energy-fuelling solution for a long race. Check tablet count, water volume and usage limits on the selected pack.

waterdrop — Microlyte Mix, 36 cubes
Distinguish waterdrop ranges: Microdrink, Microenergy and Microlyte/RECHARGE do not automatically have the same formulation or caffeine content. The selected offer is a Microlyte assortment; check that box’s flavours and instructions. The current RECHARGE range is presented without carbohydrate, so it does not replace carbohydrate fuel.

SiS — Hydro lemon, 20 tablets
SiS offers an effervescent format and specifies one tablet in 500 ml of water on its European Hydro page. This describes product preparation, not a requirement to drink 500 ml at every workout. Check that you are selecting Hydro lemon rather than a GO gel, caffeinated version or another range.

Compare at the stated dilution
For each prepared drink, note sodium, carbohydrate, any caffeine, sweeteners, serving count and cost. When labels use different volumes, normalise the figures for comparison without changing the recommended dilution. The word “electrolytes” does not prove that three products provide equivalent quantities.
| Check | Why |
|---|---|
| Sodium | Amount per prepared drink, not just total minerals. |
| Carbohydrate | Distinguish fluid planning from energy fuelling. |
| Cost | Delivered price ÷ drinks actually prepared as instructed. |
| Tolerance | Test flavour, sweeteners and practicality before racing. |
Choose according to your use
Choose a format you will use correctly, starting with a small trial rather than stockpiling. For a long session requiring fuel, a carbohydrate sports drink is another category to consider. Do not replace a prescribed medical rehydration solution with a sports product or use tablets to treat symptoms.
