Start with the exact London event
Use the official race directory to identify your London edition and its venue. Do not assume that a previous venue, entrance or timetable applies to a different event carrying the London name.
The city illustration represents London as a destination. It is not a map of the competition route or evidence that major attractions are within walking distance of the event site.
Understand the actual station sequence
The standard HYROX race combines eight 1 km runs and eight workout stations. Its loaded carry uses kettlebells, but kettlebell swings are not a standard station. Prepare from the published programme rather than an old generic exercise list.
Our station guide explains the tasks, while the division guide distinguishes individual, Doubles and Relay arrangements.
Plan travel to the right entrance
London is a large destination, so work from the venue and event entrance when choosing the final route. Check current transport instructions and allow a margin between arriving in London and reaching the athlete area.
If staying overnight, consider the actual journey at your expected arrival time. A central location is not automatically convenient for every competition venue.
Prepare the unfamiliar tasks
Identify station movements that need instruction, then practise them in a controlled setting. Add running transitions as part of a wider programme rather than testing the full race repeatedly.
The training guide provides a framework. Use the rower and SkiErg guides for movement-specific context.
Coordinate teammates and supporters
Agree meeting points, kit responsibilities and how you will access the current briefing. Check spectator tickets and entry rules separately from athlete registration.
For shared-work formats, rehearse the relevant rules before race day. The people travelling with you may have different access and scheduling requirements from your own.
Separate the city trip from race claims
London's cultural attractions can be part of a visit, but their location does not define the race course. Plan sightseeing around travel time, bookings and how the trip fits your priorities.
To compare other destinations, explore the European HYROX guides, including Paris and Amsterdam. Verify each event independently rather than assuming similar logistics.
