Thirteen training reminders for CrossFit motivation

Use short reminders as prompts for consistent practice, without mistaking slogans for coaching or attributing them to unverified speakers.

Keep inspiration separate from instructions

The French source combines a historical fitness statement and anonymous motivational phrases. This English edition offers thirteen editorial training reminders rather than assigning unverified quotations to famous athletes.

A slogan cannot decide a suitable load or tell you to ignore pain. Choose words that support a practical training objective.

Thirteen reminders

  1. Start with the movement you can control.
  2. One consistent session is worth recording.
  3. Scale the task, keep the purpose.
  4. A useful pause can improve the next repetition.
  5. Practise the skill before chasing the clock.
  6. Your training does not need to match your neighbour's.
  7. Record what you did, not what you hoped to do.
  8. Ask the question before the timer starts.
  9. Progress can look like greater confidence.
  10. Make room for the ordinary training days.
  11. A missed week is a reason to restart appropriately.
  12. Celebrate another person's success without shrinking your own.
  13. Choose a routine you want to sustain.

Use a reminder for a specific purpose

Pick one phrase for the session and connect it to an action: rehearsing a movement, planning set breaks or recording the variation. Putting every slogan on a wall does not replace a clear goal.

The motivation guide discusses the practical routine behind continued attendance.

Keep a useful training journal

Write down the programme, load and any adaptations. Add one observation about what you learned. That creates more actionable feedback than labelling every day either a success or a failure.

Our record-tracking article explains meaningful comparisons.

Share without pressure

A phrase may encourage you and irritate someone else. Share it as a preference rather than a judgement about commitment. Resting or changing a session is not evidence that someone needs a tougher slogan.
