Start from the actual race tasks

HYROX combines running and station work. A shoe that feels useful for a gym lift may feel different across repeated running kilometres. Test the balance you need rather than relying on a universal best-shoe claim.

This English version retains the source’s five-model shortlist. It does not claim these are the latest models or publish untested star ratings and old prices as measured facts.

Nike Metcon 9

Consider this as a training-shoe reference from the original selection. Check your comfort during sustained running as well as station movements; do not assume a gym-oriented model is automatically the best race shoe for you.

Reebok Nano X4

The source discusses the X4, although its conclusion also mentions the X3. Those are different models. Compare the actual X4 listing and fit rather than mixing their specifications.

Inov-8 F-Lite G 300

Check the exact model and size, including whether the available reference is the one described. Marketing terms about outsole materials do not establish measured traction on every race surface.

Puma Deviate NITRO 3

This is a running-shoe reference in a shortlist that also includes gym trainers. Read the manufacturer’s description for the exact variant rather than confusing Deviate NITRO and Deviate NITRO Elite generations.

Under Armour TriBase Reign 5

Review this training-model reference in relation to your own running and station experience. A familiar brand name does not guarantee fit or performance across all tasks.

Choose through practical checks

Try the fit where possible and use a suitable return policy. Consider heel hold, toe space and comfort during the movements you expect to perform. Do not diagnose the right shoe from a simple flat/high/normal arch label.

Check the current product specifications with Nike, Reebok, Inov-8, Puma or Under Armour.

Check the exact variant, size and current retailer terms before buying. Explore the station guide and HYROX buying hub for context.
