Prepare in the preceding hours
Plan drink access through the day, particularly when work, travel or heat make drinking inconvenient. The aim is not to store as much water as possible just before class. Hurriedly drinking a large volume can be uncomfortable and does not automatically correct inadequate preparation.
Two schedules to anticipate
For early training, prepare the bottle the night before and allow comfortable drinking time after waking. For evening training, consider the preceding working hours: an accessible bottle may be more useful than drinking everything on the journey. Adapt the routine to tolerance rather than applying one quantity to everyone.
Do you need a tablet before every session?
Not automatically. Identify the purpose: making water more appealing, providing electrolytes in a specific situation or supplying carbohydrate as well. These are different goals. Follow dilution instructions and account for other products used. Do not improvise a concentrated salt-loading drink before an ordinary workout.
Your checklist before leaving
Check a clean bottle, available water, refill options and a place to keep it during class. If using a drink mix, try it at ordinary training before competition. Do not chase completely clear urine or turn an estimated loss into a compulsory intake. Seek appropriate support for a heat-specific strategy or medical circumstances.
