Start with a verified event listing

Use the official HYROX directory to find the Stuttgart edition you intend to enter. A city guide does not confirm current dates, venue arrangements or ticket availability.

Read the information attached to your actual registration and follow updates from the organiser. Previous schedules and maps may not apply to a different season.

Prepare the standard race tasks

HYROX combines eight 1 km runs and eight workout stations. The source mentions kettlebell swings as a race exercise, but the standard loaded kettlebell task is a farmer's carry, not swings.

Our station guide provides the full sequence. The division article explains differences between individual racing, Doubles and Relay.

Choose suitable preparation

Identify movements you need to learn and practise them with suitable instruction. Develop running and station transitions within a plan rather than assuming every session needs maximum effort.

The training guide offers a framework, and the beginner article helps organise questions for a first race.

Coordinate the day

Plan the route to the athlete entrance and include time for finding the hall, meeting teammates and completing the organiser's arrival procedures. An arrival time in Stuttgart is not your warm-up time.

Check which documents and kit you need, and keep the current briefing available. Confirm spectator access separately for people accompanying you.

Separate destination context from the venue

The French guide highlights regional culture and attractions. Those references are reasons to explore outside the event, not evidence of the race course or the distance from your hall to a landmark.

Plan any city activities around the actual venue and travel time. Avoid treating a sightseeing itinerary as a race-day logistics plan.

Review the result in context

Compare your performance with the task and category you actually completed. Running splits, station work and transitions can identify useful priorities for a later training block.

Our finishing-time guide explains the comparison. Explore Karlsruhe, Amsterdam and other translated destinations through the Europe hub.
