Start with the official result
The Open leaderboard displays competition results for a particular season and set of divisions. Access it through the official CrossFit Games website, then check the year and competition before reading a position.
A screenshot can omit important filters or reflect results before validation. Use the current official view when the ranking matters.
Check the comparison group
Available filters can help narrow the result to an appropriate division or group. Read what the selected view includes rather than assuming every leaderboard position is a worldwide overall rank.
Age group, workout version and other competition settings affect interpretation. A position shown for one group should not be compared directly with a different group without context.
Distinguish a workout score from a rank
A workout may be scored by repetitions, time, load or another method stated in its instructions. The ranking then places that result within the competition's scoring rules.
Do not add unrelated raw values such as kilograms and seconds to infer an overall result. Consult the rulebook for how workout ranks, points, ties and prescribed versions are treated in the relevant season.
Read tiebreak and validation information
A tiebreak is part of the task when specified. Enter it accurately and retain the evidence required by the rules. Validation or review can affect whether a submitted score becomes an accepted result.
Check the official submission and approval process rather than assuming a gym record or third-party log automatically updates the competition leaderboard.
Use results to inform training
Look at the underlying attempts as well as the overall placement. Different workouts may reveal different demands, and a poor ranking in one task does not explain its cause on its own.
Review the movement standard, pacing and workload with your coach. The personal-progress article explains how to choose useful next steps.
Compare years cautiously
Fields, workouts and competition structures can change. A different percentile or position does not by itself prove how much your fitness changed. Exact repeated tasks provide another reference when performed under comparable conditions.
Our personal-record guide covers consistent tracking. Use the Open explanation and Open hub for the wider event context.
